Blog names

I've long wanted to change the name of my blog.  When I began to tinker with blogger, I put in the first thing that came to mind.  At that point, I'd hadn't even read a bunch of blogs.  I had no idea how cute and fun blog names could be.  When I went back to blogger a year later to actually do something with the blog I'd started, well, it was already named and I figured it was too late.  I could have deleted it since there was nothing on it, but I didn't really know all the ins and outs of blogging yet and didn't understand that.  So I went with Gour Family Adoption.  I realized much later that I could change the title of the blog without changing the url of it.  So, here we are.  I opened this blog in 2006, started posting on it in 2007 and now, in 2010, I'm changing it's title....but not the url. 

Where'd the name come from?  From the song Beautiful Life by Fisher.  Well, not exactly.  Whenever I see pictures of our family, I always think to myself that we have such a beautiful, wonderful, amazing life.  Perfect?  No.  But beautiful still.  You just can not complain when you are married to your best friend and you have great kids! 

Then, I heard the song by Fisher.  It was featured on TLC commercials for their Monday night programming of J & K + 8.  We'll forgive them for that.  How did they know that beautiful life would be a train wreck, right?

Anyway, the song gets stuck in my head.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, click here!  Is it in your  head yet?  See what I mean?

And, now when I look at the pictures I put on my blog, I sing that song to myself.  Can't help it.  Sorry.  That is when the idea to change my blog name, collided with the song in my head, and well,  you see the result!  Is that bad?

So many other bloggers have cute, fun names.  I mean, how cool is coming up with Not A Significant Source?  How cute is Ni Hao Y'all?  Or Cornbread and Chopsticks?  MckMama can have her Big Mac, her MckNugget, her Small Fry, her MckMuffin and her MckFlurry.  Why can't I have A Beautiful Life?    I didn't think of Room for At Least One More.  Or A Place Called Simplicity. Then again, I probably didn't come up with that one, because simple doesn't really describe our life...{sigh}...oh well.   But, you see what I mean, right?  So, I hope  you don't mind.
