Part One
Fourth of July
Food, Fun and Friends
My Crew!
My contribution!
My daughter's friends.
My handsome guys!
A day spent with good friends!
Construction Zone!
We are working to complete the remodel of a 300 sq ft room at the back of our house. This once barely usable and quite junked up space will very soon be a educational haven and toy playground for the many young (and not so young) students of The Evelyn Shaw School.
I. Can. Not. Wait.
Seriously
The husband and some friends got it to this point.
But.
He hates to mud drywall.
And God knows that.
Enter, The Crew
An merry band of cousins that had a blast hanging dry wall and laughing it up with each other.
It proved to be quite entertaining.
And at the end of the day, we had something that very closely resembled a real room!
And it got painted the next day.
Paul has since trimmed out the windows and doors, put in all the can lights, installed an air condition/heating unit and has scheduled to lay the floor this weekend. Those pictures will come later!
We have also purchased much of the furnishings for the room via a dramatic visit to IKEA.
That story will have to wait until the unavailing of the completed room.
Lets just say that I don't hold it against IKEA ....... or U-haul.
