Talent

Guitar playing
Loud singing
Asian boy!

With accordion accompaniment!

Me thinks that living in the South may have a strange effect on them.

Can I just say that my life has gotten infinitely noisier since they discovered these talents!

Organic Maniacs!

Yes, I know you come here for the pictures, but I haven't got any today. Come back tomorrow....or maybe Thrusday. Who knows. My Christmas tree is still fully decorated and lit up in the front window. That would be an indication of the fact that I've been a smidge busy for the last week or so! Hang in there!

In the mean time, just feast your little ears eyes on these thoughts. I wish you could have heard it straight from their sweet mouths, because they just crack me up!

Claire to Me: What are you doing?
Me to Claire: I'm straightening my hair.
Claire: Straighten mine.
Me: You already have beautiful straight Asian hair.
Claire: I'm not Asian!
Me: Yes you are!
Claire: No, I'm not. I'm organic!

Alrightly then!

Parker discussing an upcoming Geography project he and his brother have to prepare for a class they take with our homeschool co-op. They had to select a Country from a list and someone will bring in pictures for that country and someone will bring in a food from that country. Parker and Noah choose China....of course!

Parker: I don't know who would pick Canada. I have no idea what they eat in Canada!
Me: Sweetie, they eat a lot of the same things we eat. Most Canadians were immigrants from Europe, just like most Americans are. As a matter of fact, most of Great Grandma's family immigrated from Europe to Canada and then eventually moved down to Maine where Great Grandma was born.

Isabel: Does that make us Mainiacs?

Get it....Maine, Mainiacs? Get it? She didn't. She was serious. And, that made it funnier!

Creative Candy Corn

Yes, I actually bought this candy crud Halloween treat for my children. I agreed to buy a few small bags of candy because we weren't doing a lot of Trick-or-treating, and this is what they wanted. Thankfully, they are sick of it now and don't want anymore! They actually had more fun playing with it than eating it....figures, doesn't it.

A Banner Week....

Okay, so it's only Monday and already it's been a banner week at our house. I broke my toe yesterday and today hubby was in a fender bender. Need I say more?

I have no idea how I broke my toe....some stairs were involved, and a small child was in danger of being smushed. That's all I remember. I didn't even realize it was broken for several hours! I was at the beach and that tends to cloud my judgment. But, I've been hobbling around here and milking it ever since that moment, on the way home, that I became aware of the pain and swelling! Then husband left here in a suit to see a man about a raincoat.....don't ask, and when I called to check in, as I do periodically during the day, he answered his phone with "I'll call you back. I'm with a police officer, because I was rear ended". Huh? Alrightly then. So yeah, it's been a great two days so far. I wonder what the rest of the week will hold?

If you need a pick up as much as we do around here, then you ought to enjoy these video clips of Isabel and her bestie, Maggie. Two of biggest diva hams I know enjoying a evening to themselves this weekend.

I can thank Disney Channel for that one.

And apparently, I get to thank drama for this!

Do. Not. Ask.

Just smile!

Sometimes I Wonder....

About these kids of mine.

They really are intelligent.
I promise.

I think.

But, they do have their moments.

Moments that leave me scratching my head.

And, wondering whose genes these are?

Because, I never cooked with my goggles on!

My Little Trolls

In our town, as in many, we have a bridge. A big bridge. a beautiful bridge. And under that bridge, as with most bridges.....

live trolls!
We happen to have six trolls under our bridge.
And in an unprecedented feat, I managed to capture photo footage of these
fascinating and terrible creatures!

I warn you!
They are UGLY!
This post is not for the meek or fainthearted!

They are some of the most horrific specimens of
troll creatures known to the world.

These pictures,
as grotesque as they are,
still don't do them justice...
with their beady little eyes
and sharp beastly teeth....

scraggly hair and heinous little bodies!

SIX cunning and ferocious trolls!

They may seem innocent and guileless....

Even playful!

But, don't you be tricked!
Do not let them fool you!
They are just trying to lure unsuspecting prey into their lair!
You must remain on your guard when crossing this bridge.

Sometimes, they even turn on each other!

So, for all you troll hunters out there,
now you know where to find them.
But, be wary and don't say I didn't warn you.
For even the most experienced hunters have fallen to this lot!

And, for those of you that value your life and freedom,
stay away. Far far away.

Because they are on the prowl again!

I know.....I crack myself up! He he he
