Called life.
It's pretty bad when your Mom calls to ask what's gone wrong, and when you ask her how she knew something could be wrong, she replies, "because you haven't blogged in days!"
Don't even get me started on how sad it is that my Mom has to keep up with my life through my blog.......hmmmmm.
So, we were chugging happily, albeit busily, along on our merry way this weekend....and, then the train derailed Monday (insert crashing sound).
My neighbor....who happens to be my Father-In-Law, for those of you that don't know, had to be rushed to the emergency room.....in my van.....by me. With chest pain. No pressure there. Please do not ask me to explain why an ambulance wasn't called.
My children's beloved Papa was admitted to the hospital Monday afternoon with a questionable EKG. He had a stress test done on Tuesday, after which they decided a heart cath could not wait until Wednesday. He was rolled into the Cath lab Tuesday evening and three stents were used to open three blocked arteries. He is recovering and should be home tonight or tomorrow if all goes well.
Yes, my mother was just in the hospital last week, for those of you that didn't know. Yes, my husband was out-of-town as all this unfolded. Yes, I still have 4 kids to homeschool! Oh, and feed. The words, "a little crazy" come to mind.
We are very thankful that this was caught in the nick-of-time. Prayers for his healing and recovery are much appreciated. Prayers for my sanity are necessary. Thankyouverymuch!

Chelsea, lots of prayers for all. You certainly handle stress well, girl! I would be freaking out. Glad to hear that your FIL's procedure went well and hope he's recovering ok. Also praying for your mom!! How's she doing?
Chest pains must be going around. We spent several hours in the ER yesterday as Lemuel was taken there straight from work after an episode of Tachycardia, chest pain and blacking out. His ekg was just a little "off" but his enzymes and such were good, and they have sent him home with orders to have a stress test within the week. Please pray for his as well.
Praying for your father in law!! How scary!
wow to both of you! prayers everyones way!!! glad he is doing better! where was meme when all this was going on? somehow i dont see her being quite as calm as you were.
Why does no body every tell me these things?!?!?! I'm always the last to know when something's happened! Is he better? What's going on?
You scared me first with the train de-railing metaphor... til I realized the train was just that; a metaphor. Whew!
Then again with emergency room and Papa in the same sentence! But that turned out alright, I guess.
Next time, tell me everything is fine BEFORE you let me freak out! It's the end of the year, pressure has built, and anxiety levels are high enough without you provoking a heart attack! :)
Oh, I forgot to tell you I would most definately pray for his health, and what's left of your sanity.
Sometimes it's nice to know that people are praying for you. :)
