Then What?

Well after a few relaxing days in St. Louis we loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly, Hills that is.  Swimmin' pools, movie stars Monster Van and got out of dodge....I mean we headed to Tennessee.  We went because for Father's day Karla and I thought we'd give our husbands the opportunity to work on the Caudill's house from sun up to past sun down for four days straight!  I know!  I am the best wife ever, right?  LOL!

No!  We went because we LOVE the Caudills and we are so excited that they are bringing home another son this summer.  We wanted to spend time together and we wanted to help them in anyway we could.  We don't have money, but we do have talents.  Okay, Paul and Scoot have talents that they could use.  I just have time.

So Paul and Scott spent their time and talents with Shane at the Caudill's house working to make it more wheelchair accessible for their newest member to come home and Karla and I spent our time driving Anna nuts!  We are givers, I tell you!

The blue tape marks where doorways will be widened.

And added!

This look marks where so brain cells might possibly have been lost in the effort!

Just Kidding, Scott!

What a team!
These guys can demolish a house in no time!

Thankfully, they can put it back together too!

They even let Shane help....I mean, it is HIS house after all!

When it was all said and done.....three big holes where made!

And these guys successfully tuned a three bedroom home into a two bedroom home!

Really?  Yes, really.  One bedroom is now a dinning room and it made the whole house seem a little bit bigger and easier to maneuver in!

And, they started a porch that will have a ramp and a roof so older brother can get in his house and won't get rained on doing so!

The Menfolk let my not-so-little guys help that day!

They were thrilled to get to use the power tools.

It kinda looks like a mess.

And well, it is.

But really, it shouldn't take too long for Anna and Shane to clean it up!
All they have to do to the porch is add floor boards, rails, a ramp, stairs....oh, and a roof, shingles....

Oh well.

The guys really didn't want to leave it this way, but we simply ran out of town....I mean time!  And trust me, they had such a good time that they would run back up there in a heartbeat if they could.

Dear Shane and Anna,

Thank you for letting our husbands get all "tool time" on your house!  I am sorry that they left it such a mess.  They were like little boys in a candy store....or grown men in Home Dep*t!  It was fun to watch, wasn't it?!  I hope you let us come back one day and maybe they can add a bedroom for that little girl that I just know is in your future!  ;)

Love and Hugs,
Chelsea
