Like a train derailed.
Into a super mall.
Like Mall of America.
And, now there are train parts and store innards all manglated (yes that is a word of my own making!) together.
Are we?
Please say we aren't!
Some people go to After Christmas sales.
I go into hiding from my after Christmas mess!
But, today there is no getting out of it. I have to clean this place up.
'Cause we are going to the mountains next week....if I can get back in shape.
So, after hours of work....I have a very sparkly clean.....bathroom.
Yep.
I even used the bleach.
I will not tell you when the last time I did that was.
'Cause I don't even remember at this point!
I also have a decently clean kitchen.
Except that I haven't made dinner yet.
So, there goes that!
Yeah, I'll be posting all our Christmas pictures,
just as soon as they send FEMA and the National Guard in here
to help with the disaster relief effort!

may I just say a great big thank you?? I cannot TELL you how bad my house looks right now! I can't even figure out where to begin. I hid yesterday too. Today I started with one kid toy corner. But after getting rid of unplayed with toys and re labeling bins and buckets.... I walked into the girls' room. oh. my. gosh. I might take pictures, but I am in the process of an adoption and it might get back to our social worker....
Oh Chelsea...did you learn nothing from Jo and I?? You know it doesn't have to be Christmas for a house to look like that. I have to admit I still have my old habbits and still DESPISE cleaning. So in other words...no your house isn't the only one. Mine looked (notice past tense) like that too. I have been working all day to get it clean. I made the comment the other day how I wish I could wake up to a clean house and be able to enjoy if for the day. Unfortuantely (sp) a few simple hours in the morning will ruin that. Well let me get back to the laundry....which I have been doing ALL day! One day I will have a maid....oh one day! Ha
Let me also say that you are very brave for posting the pictures.
Okay, I didn't clean my house yet, well, I did clean parts of the downstairs, but I haven't begun to tackle the loft where we opened gifts on Christmas morning. One of the 18 year old boys said tonight that it was time.
Wow! You know it's bad!

Oh, THANK YOU!!!!!! I was getting ready to have a meltdown today. I counted to 10, prayed, took deep breaths... it is BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dare not take pictures though. Just take my word for it please :) P.S. Elias LOVES that Starwars poster :)
Umm..what? The girls' room looks exactly like Darling Daughter's does AFTER she cleans it up! If you want to see a mess I'll take you to my sister's house next time you're in town. Now THAT's a place that should be condemned.
On the plus side, my oldest guy's room has been clean for weeks...because he's never here for more than 15 minutes. It's not a happy trade-off for me. I'd rather see him than a clean floor. He may as well have gone to college in Timbuktu.
Mine still looks like that!
Enjoy the mountains.
Looks like home!!! ^_^'
Suprisingly, Christmas doesn't do that to our house, WE do. We made sure the house was clean on Christmas Eve, and that made cleaning after the Christmas morning disaster much easier. But somehow, what you showed in your pictures times a kazillion happened over here in less than a day... AFTER Christmas! So no, you are not, by any means, the only ones. :)
I'm right there with you!! I've decided to take on one room at the time. When I feel like the mess is taking over and driving me nuts, I just go sit in the clean rooms for a while!! =] It's working so far. Good Luck! =]
