My husband has lovingly referred to me as "Master Packer" for many years as my organizational skills shine when it comes to packing for a trip. I can pack five children and two adults for a 9 day camping trip and not forget a thing! I can strategically stuff a vehicle with way more than should logically fit and still have leg room! I am "the last boyscout". I am prepared and bring anything and everything that we might possibly need but we won't have anymore bags than the guy that forgot his toothbrush and underwear!
HOWEVER, there are limitation with this trip that I have not dealt with before.....such as the fact that the airlines in China will only allow us one checked bag each that weighs no more than 45 pounds and one carry-on each! Maybe they don't realize that I am packing for a 16 DAY trip. Maybe they don't understand that I need to bring a small pharmacy in my bags... just in case! I'm going to a foreign country and I am not going to go without certain things. So armed with a scale and several suitcases I am attacking the pile of stuff I have collected and I will attempt to make this work.
Aha! I still got it! As you can see, everything fit and I still have room for my toothbrush and make-up in the morning! Amazingly, each bag only weighs in around 40 lbs!! Paul still has to pack his carry-on with the computer and a few other items, but then we are ready!

Dang, Chels, if you give lessons on how to do this, sign me up! I've said it before and I'll say it again - you are a remarkable person :)
