HAPPY NEW YEAR!

From our house to yours!

I'm sure it's no surprise to any of you that we didn't go to some New Year's Eve party tonight. Nope, we're happiest at home with our kiddos! We drug our fire pit out front and roasted marshmallows in the driveway..... and made smores....with all the kids in the neighborhood it seemed! Then we pooled our fireworks with some of the neighbors and had front row seats to the show! Of course after that we smelled like the fire pit so we had to get showers!

Claire didn't ring the New Year in so much as slept through it. She's a little young to join our tradition yet. Maybe next year....maybe not.

Happy New Year sweet baby girl! I just know it's gonna be a good one!

She did love the fireworks though and was outside with us for the whole show! I would share pictures from that...but I don't have THAT kind of camera. All my shots of fireworks and things at night come out crummy. Whatcha gunna do?

But isn't she the cutest little New Year baby? That isn't really a question!

Yes Mom, that is my Christmas Tree in the background. I know you shudder to think of all the bad luck I've brought down on my house because I didn't take it down BEFORE I rang in the New Year......good thing I don't buy into all those superstitions! :)

2008 was an amazing year for the Gours (even though our tree was still up on January 1st)! Cheers to 2009 and all it will bring!

By-the-way, that is sparkling grape juice, NOT Champagne!
