Wednesday's Requests

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:6-7

Today is the day I go to the Prayer Meetin' over at Significant Source. You are welcome to join us by clicking on one of the links. The Gours are having a wonderful time around here....everyone is healthy, Claire is flourishing, my husband has a job and I love being a wife and mother! But, this isn't the case for everybody right now. If you are joining in we would apprieciate it if you would please lift up these people in prayer today....

-My cousin Allison and her daughter Hannah. Hannah has hydrocephalus due to a head injury when she was a baby. A shunt was placed in her head to drain off the excess fluid, she recovered well and has not had any problems from it in years. A recent test revealed that her shunt is not working properly any more and she will undergo a procedure on Thursday morning to deal with this. PLEASE pray for this to go well for Hannah. Pray for Allison and Nate, her parents, and the grandparents to feel peace and know that God's almighty hand is holding sweet Hannah during the surgery.

This is little Hannah with Isabel at Easter a few years ago. I wanted you to have her sweet little face in your minds when you pray for her. The one below is a recent picture of her from this summer that her mother sent me. Isn't she beautiful?!

Pray also for:

-My in-laws, Glen and Dianne. They will fly out to Nebraska on Thursday and need prayer for safe travels and staying healthy while in the FREEZING cold out there!

-Dear friends of our family-Cyndi, Morgan and Mary-Margaret will also be traveling (cruising to be exact) this week and I pray for their safety and health as well!

-My mother, Brenda. She will be having her annual Christmas Eve family party, for 30+ people and needs strength to pull it all together. She has not been behaving lately and has had several scares to do with her heart that have almost landed her in the hospital. Since she refuses to take it easy, lets see if we can't pray her heart into behaving!

-My Aunt Fran. Christmas is a very hard time for her and Uncle David as they lost their young son at Christmas time. This year they will travel to Colorado to be with their daughter and I pray it is a nice, comforting time for them.

I will pray for y'all. And my bloggy friend Heather (from The Extraordinary Ordinary) just went through the surgery with her son Asher. He received a shunt last week.
